It's Time to Share Happiness by Mail

April 7, 2020 Shimoda
Letter Writing

I always say I'm going to write so & so. I really liked that book, I'm going to write the author and let her
know... and it goes into the years of the 'one day - someday pile.' UGH!

Do you have a pile like that?

I just decided to do something about it. (I'm figuring it out as I'm typing
this) What am I going to do? What am I committing to?

I will start with 2 letters or postcards a month. It might be more but I'm just
saying 2 for now.

What will that look like? A letter can be short. "Sending you hugs!"
"Stay Strong", send a joke, send an article a person might love... You can keep it simple.

As long as I have an address, it could take 5 mins to forward a little
happiness. And I have plenty of time.

Do you want to join me in this project?

Make sure you have envelopes and stamps. You can make
your own envelopes
out of catalogs, old
calendars...

I do want to include you in my project also since you are following me. I would
like to pick someone that will get a letter from me each month.

How? If you are on my email list, I’ll pick one person a month.

I'm calling it 'Light and Love Letters'

This is also part of the Sacred Stitches: The Art of Caregiving.

It makes me feel good to know that I'm helping others feel
good.

Do you need notecards? I have them here.
And there is an option to buy them with stamps!!!
No waiting in line, no need to go to the post office!
